We manage your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and relevant professional obligations under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (WA) and guidance from AHPRA and the Medical Board of Australia.

We collect personal and sensitive information necessary to provide you with high-quality medical care. This may include:

  • Your name, date of birth, address, contact details, Medicare number and health insurance details

  • Medical history, medications, allergies, immunisations, family history, and lifestyle information

  • Results of investigations (e.g., blood tests, imaging) and correspondence from other health providers

  • Notes from consultations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and referrals

We collect this information directly from you where possible, or from others (e.g., specialists, hospitals) with your consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide you with appropriate medical care

  • Communicate with other healthcare providers involved in your treatment

  • Organise referrals, prescriptions, investigations, and follow-up care

  • Comply with Medicare and other statutory obligations

  • Improve our clinical services, with de-identified data only used for quality assurance, research, or teaching (with consent or where permitted by law)

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We will only share your information with third parties where:

  • It is directly related to your healthcare and you would reasonably expect us to do so

  • You have given consent

  • It is required or authorised by law (e.g. in cases of notifiable disease, mandatory reporting)

  • It is necessary to prevent a serious threat to your life, health, or safety (or public safety)

  • Required by regulatory bodies such as AHPRA during professional conduct investigations

Your information will not be shared with overseas recipients unless explicitly requested and with your consent.

4. Storage and Security

  • Your records are stored securely in digital and/or physical formats.

  • We use password-protected clinical software and encrypted cloud services where appropriate.

  • Only authorised staff have access to your information.

  • All staff and contractors are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Access and Correction

You have the right to request access to your personal health information and to correct any inaccuracies.

  • Requests must be made in writing to the clinic.

  • We aim to respond within 30 days and may charge a reasonable fee for administrative costs.

  • In some cases, access may be denied under law (e.g. if it poses a serious risk to health or safety).

6. Website and Online Services

Our website may collect basic analytics data (e.g. pages visited, browser type) but does not store personal health data unless submitted via a secure form.

If you use our online booking or telehealth services, your data is protected in accordance with our digital provider's security protocols and complies with Australian privacy laws.
